Our approach
The Pathfinders Initiative brings students direct access to the people best placed to help — those who have navigated the exact path your child is now preparing for, and who understand what selectors, interviewers, and admissions tutors are actually looking for.
These are not generic presentations. Each session is led by someone with first-hand, current knowledge of the process — the kind of insight that is hard to find anywhere else, and impossible to replicate from a book or a website.
Current knowledge, not theory
Sessions are led by people who went through the same applications and interviews recently. They know what has changed, what still matters, and what the guidance books get wrong.
Specific, actionable advice
Not vague encouragement — specific strategies for UCAT, personal statements, interviews, and admissions tests. Students leave knowing what to do next.
Honest answers to real questions
Every session includes live Q&A. Students ask exactly what they want to know and get straight answers from someone who has been in their position.
What we do
The Pathfinders Initiative runs free online sessions for secondary school students and their parents — covering everything from medicine and law applications to Oxbridge preparation and the 11+ exam.
Each session is led by an expert with direct, first-hand knowledge of the path ahead — whether that is a practising professional, an academic, or someone who recently navigated the exact process your child is now preparing for. They share what applications really look like from the inside, what actually makes a difference, and what they wish someone had told them earlier.
There are no catch-up fees, no upsells, and no pressure. A student registers, attends, and leaves with more than they came in with. That is the whole point.
For students in Years 10–13
Practical guidance on competitive university applications — medicine, law, Oxbridge, finance. What to prioritise, how to prepare, and what strong applicants actually do differently.
For parents of Year 5–6 students
A clear, honest guide to the 11+ process — what it involves, how to support your child's preparation, and how to approach the timeline without the stress.
Live Q&A every session
Every session includes time for students and parents to ask questions directly. Get the specific answers you need — not a scripted presentation.

Suggest a session →Our ethos
"Knowing what to do — and when, and how — is the difference between a strong application and a missed opportunity."
The insight that shapes a strong university application is not complicated. It exists, it is learnable, and the people best placed to share it are those who have been through the process recently. That is the foundation of what we do.
Every session is free to attend. A student registers, attends, and leaves knowing more than they did before. That is the entire point.
