A free webinar series for ambitious students.
The Pathfinders Initiative runs free online sessions for secondary school students who are thinking carefully about their next steps — whether that is a competitive university application, a professional career, or the 11+ exam.
Each session is led by a current student at a leading UK university: someone who has recently navigated the very process your child is preparing for. They know what the application actually looks like from the inside, what worked for them, and what they wish they had known earlier.
What we cover
From medicine to Oxbridge and beyond.
Sessions run throughout the year across a range of topics. Each one is designed to be genuinely useful — practical, specific, and led by someone with direct experience of that path.
Our ethos
Free. And always will be.
We believe the guidance that shapes a student's application — the kind that explains how UCAT preparation actually works, or what Oxbridge tutors look for in an interview — should not depend on a family's ability to pay for it.
Every session is free to attend. There is no registration fee, no premium tier, and no obligation of any kind. Students register, attend, and leave with more than they came in with. That is the entire point.
Our partnership
Run in partnership with Leading Tuition.
The Pathfinders Initiative is organised and funded by Leading Tuition, a UK-based tutoring provider. Leading Tuition covers the cost of running these sessions because they believe that access to expert guidance should not be a privilege.
We want to be clear about this: the sessions themselves are entirely free, and no services are promoted or mentioned within them. Some families who attend do go on to enquire about Leading Tuition's tutoring services — but that is never a condition of attending, and it is not why these sessions exist.
